Amazing ambiance and cozy atmosphere. We were welcomed by Alivia who explained a little wait time was expected but she thankfully added us to the waiting list and notified us when our table was ready. Service was great, thank you Kelle! And food was succulent. Try the bison grilled steak, and if available the duck breast and leg confit is a must try ! Our server Kelle even took time to do a picture of our party. A real must stop restaurant after a great hike day in Zion, thank you again !
Excellent everything. Sodas on tap, buffalo burgers in the super friendly hospitable staff. When you go into the property there are a lot of animals outside before you walk to the restaurant, dogs, roosters, chickens, puppies miniature horses and heard a buffalo. We were looking around at the animals outside as they encourage you to do so. Possibly one of the best buffalo burgers I've ever had. The potatoes seem to hand cut and everything tasted excellent. This restaurant is located as part of a cabin resort. The staff encourage us to look around even though we were not staying at the resort. Nice place to just enjoy almost like a small petting zoo. We came from an early dinner and we were the only people in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is quaint and rustic. And staff is there for your every need. Not sure when I'll be back in the area but I would go again! I wish I could remember the waiter's name but he did a great job!
GPS said 40 min to nearest cafe... and then less then 2 miles away I found this gem!!! Awesome breakfast! Fireplace... the whole thing is so authentic and amazing!!!
During a visit to Zion with friends we accidentally came across this place (restaurant, farm) and it's good that such cases happen! The restaurant is great, very clean, kept in a very original atmosphere. You feel like you're on a real farm, and you can also see a few things from the past. The service is very friendly, nice and helpful!!! When ordering a salad you know that the ingredients are grown in the garden next door! The meat is also very tasty. We were all very pleasantly surprised! This is one of those places you want to come back to and if you're in the area I'll do it! They also have a shop, you can take a walk and relax. I highly recommend it and enjoy your meal!!!!Rex is watching over everything here
We recently had a little family dinner at Cordwood and I was HIGHLY impressed. Every single thing I ate (yes, I tasted everything) was amazingly delicious, fresh, unique and flavorful. The atmosphere was so cool - a renovated and refurbished barn! And Kelle, our server, was friendly and helpful, and she even answered about 15 extra questions I had about the restaurant, the ranch and herself. I had a wonderful time and wholeheartedly recommend going here for dinner. Please be sure to make a reservation because they definitely fill up and being that the location is quite remote (beautiful drive!) I’m sure they like to stock their food accordingly.
I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Cordwood. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—rustic yet refined, with a cozy ambiance that made the evening feel special. I ordered the bison ribeye, and it was perfection—juicy, tender, and full of rich, smoky flavor. Cooked to absolute perfection, every bite was a testament to the quality of ingredients and the chef’s expertise. Speaking of which, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who was incredibly passionate about the food and took the time to check in with us. It was clear that the team takes immense pride in what they do. Our server, Tony, was phenomenal—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. He made the experience even more enjoyable, offering great recommendations and keeping the energy light and fun. We were there with kids, and they loved the homemade craft sodas—each one uniquely flavored and a great alternative to standard soft drinks. The wine selection was also top-notch, with a thoughtfully curated list that perfectly complemented the meal. Overall, Cordwood exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience with outstanding food, warm hospitality, and a great atmosphere, this is the place. A solid 5-star recommendation, and I can't wait to return!
Exceptional experience. Was a spontaneous decision and blown away. Food was delicious (with French chef), very friendly service from Tony, and a very authentic atmosphere. Bison steak was a must have!!
Beautiful view and scrumptious food! The portion is very sizable and is easily a 2-person meal IMO. Had the bison bolognese with coconut cream soda after a long day at Zion - absolutely amazing!
